Dr Thierry Bron - Augmentation mammaire par technique composite

Breast enlargement

Mammary hypoplasia is when there is insufficient breast volume. These days, breast-implant insertion is the most widely used technique to project breasts. Implants can be placed in front of and/or behind the muscle to enlarge and resculpt breasts, depending on each patient’s bust. Dr Bron has particular expertise in the composite technique, which involves placing implants in dual plane and transferring fat in front of the mammary gland. This provides an additional layer and camouflages the prostheses, giving a result that is very natural to the touch. It is Dr Bron’s preferred technique and is especially suitable for very slim patients.

Crisalix is 3D simulation software that shows the results of aesthetic surgery. This tool helps patients better express their request and enables surgeons to give clear, reasoned explanations. Patients are therefore better informed when they decide to have an operation.

  • Are breast prostheses palpable to the touch?
If the prostheses are placed behind the muscle, they are almost imperceptible. They are even less perceptible if fat is reinjected in front of the mammary gland to camouflage the implant (composite technique).
  • How old do you have to be to have a breast enlargement?
You can have a breast enlargement from the age of 17, which is when your breasts are fully developed.
  • Can you breastfeed after mammary prostheses have been inserted?
Yes, a woman can breastfeed if her prostheses are behind the muscle and if the mammary gland and implant are not touching.
